President Barzani Receives IDU Honorary Chairman Lord Michael Ashcroft

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, President Masoud Barzani received Lord Michael Ashcroft, a prominent British public figure and Honorary Chairman of the International Democracy Union (IDU).

During the meeting, Lord Ashcroft expressed his pleasure at visiting the Kurdistan Region and commended the progress made toward recovery, stability, and development. He emphasized the importance of raising international awareness of the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdish cause and praised the sacrifices of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces in the fight against ISIS.
